Isn't it a franchise? Not sure how much success you would get with the franchise owner. The website is on http://www.mb24.co.uk/pb still and the contact details for the person who runs it are at the bottom (though given the head office appears to be the store address the chances are slim). There are other contact details on http://www.moviebank24h.co.uk but not sure if that's the same company it might be worth a try.

RE: Money Back from Moviebank
Hi, <name removed for privacy reasons> was running all the franchises from Temple fortune, I know as I was one of the franchisees to be taken in by him. had no idea that some of his franchises were failing and was gullible enough to believe his lies with regards the business. No doubt the money I invested kept him going a bit longer. I have lost a fortune by this con man and am very bitter about it. However when I closed my doors all my members were paid any monies owed them. I am totally disgusted by his attitude after reading these messages, but not really surprised. This man should come with a hazard warning, greedy and manipulative and I hope his unpaid members manage to trace him!! Good luck to you all, Janet.

The doors to the temple fortune lane franchise are still open but my card has expired with over £11.00 in the account. I know it's not much but I certainly dont understand why the machine accepted the cash from my debit card even though my card was out of date? Is this legal?

I read the above thread and wanted to clarify some misinformation. There appears to be some confusion. The guy who owned the store at Potters Bar is not the same guy as the owner that the guest above is referring to. i.e Temple Fortune. that guy sold the franchise to Janet not the guy who owned the Potters Bar store. His was the only non franchised store in the group. All the others were franchised.
I know for a fact that the owner at Potters Bar put notices up three months before closing, telling members to use their credit up. He also displayed on the projection screen the same message. I know from talking with him before he closed that he attempted to email the entire membership.
Hope this helps

I had one of these movie bank cards once as well and they made me load quite a lot of money on it which took forever to use and i think they shut down as well before i had chance to use up my credit.
