Swine Flu
I've just heard that Swine Flu is in Barnet really worried it will be in Potters Bar next. Is anyone else concerned and does know where you can get those face masks?

And I'm concerned that Mars is going to collide with EarthRolleyes

Ask your self a key question(s)...

How many confirmed cases of Swine Flue in UK?
How many people live in UK?
Now work out ratioVery Happy!

Oh, and those face masks don't protect you!

Does the phase 'Media Hype' mean anything?

I actually got one of those chain emails about that last week. Turned out to be a hoax.

Unfortunately the dangers are still very real - it could start to spread later in the year, or maybe next year. But that's not to say we're all doomed though :-)

RE: Swine Flu
I had the dreaded Swine flu a couple of weeks ago,(diagnosed by Dr's) it was bad for about a week and left me with a secondary chest infection for which I needed a course of antibiotics.

I now think that the secondary infection is going to be the main killer of people rather than the flu itself.

for all we are told swine flu is 'mild' I can certainly say it was not in the least a mild thing to have in my own case.

I've never felt such pain in my trachea and lungs in my life and the closest parallel feeling to the general effect of swine flu, was how I felt when I had glandular fever years ago.
