i have been bruised and my hair pulled, me windows on my car smashed, my door kicked in and ive been dragged out of my flat by my hair and kicked in the stomach. locked out the back of my flat in the comunial gardens and theatened to have a dog set on me ..(called 999 at this time and this was a sunday and the police came out on a tuesday.
all this was done by my nieghbor and his familey..and im still here. aldwyck's the housing assiosiation have said for me NOT to look out of my window when his passing if it winds me up. and dont talk to him and dont call the police all the time this is only adding fuil to the fire..
and the police have only causioned one girl when there was 3 of them on me and said that they let the other 2 go cos they said they didnt do any thing and they hav'nt been arrested b4...(so any one out there who is reading this and hav'nt been arrested b4 and know someone who they hate then beat the sh*t out of them and tell he police you didn do it).
i have been close and still have thoughts of ending my life but i have 3 older kids and i just cant do it, if i didnt have them i wouldnt be here today.ohhhh and to top this the envimental heath have now told me they wont come out to me any more because every time they have come out they hav'nt witnessed any thing, what they dont think about is we phone them when things are happening and then have to wait for them to phone u which takes any thing from 45mins to over an hour nd by the time they come out and park there police car at the front of the house for every one to see the noice has died down by then..... so realy i now have to sit and suffer any noice they make from now on.

A couple of months back I would have looked on your post in disbelief and thought it couldn't happen. But I've had dealings with the police in the last couple of weeks over anti-social behaviour and I don't think they treat it with the priority it deserves. They almost seem scared of tackling this kind of thing. Maybe it's too complicated and in the land of statistics there are probably easier things to investigate to show you're effective.

I spotted this in the local paper, it might be worth a try. At least you have the opportunity to see someone in person and make your case felt, rather than being fobbed off on the phone.

i spoke to couple of police officers today and the only solution they have is me to be moved,i have a lovley g/floor flat and fabulous nieghbors apart from the bloke an his familey who live above me.
b4 moving to this flat i lived in hatfield in a 2nd floor flat and i hated it it was close to the railway line and all u can hear was trains going past.
i live with my son who is 23 yrs old and we both decided that we wanted a 2 bed house with a garden so we looked around, put adds on the net, put cards in the windows of shops which wasnt cheap these days.
we got this flat through the bidding system with aldwyck's i didnt want a flat again but decided to look at it and i loved it, all the rooms are very big.
when we told the housing assiation that we will take it i said to my son that we will continue to look for a 2 bed house but there was no rush because this flat would be ideal to keep to the end of my daysor unless a nice house comes up, im 47 and like most people i hate moving, but i have been told that they can move me out but i will not be offered a 2 bed house.
i told them that im the victom here and why should i have to move to a place that no one will want to live in because of an idiot who is making me move,i have a choice to have a 2 bed house while i live here and no way i want some horrible other flat and start to go backwards in my life...
i saw the things his daughter done to me and what him and his wife have said and done to me, i have told the police that im not lieing and i am willing to have a lie detector test.
the police have made me feel that im lieing to them just to get a house but thats not the case i could of got a 3 bed house from aldwyck's b4 i move here because i had my daughter and son living with me while i was living in the other flat and i was offered the 3 bed house then..my daughter moved out a week b4 i was offered the house and i was honist to them and told them that i only had my son with me at that time so they withdrew the house and i had to continue to bid.
i am not going to be pushed out of my flat because of all this, why should i? im not the one causing all the problems here.
what the police need to do is listen to the public and not judge people which im sure they do. and the police need to help sort out the problems and take them seriously because the way things are dealt with now are making things worse. i now hate my nieghbor even more because he is getting every thing his way and im sure the police are scared of the bully's and its easy just to move the victom from the problem, even if it means putting them in another property that no other person wants..

It does seem last couple of years people are allowed to do whatever they like with no comeback. It is almost like their right to create a nuisance is greater than your right to enjoy peace?

I appreciate someone can't be on hand 24 hours a day to step in, so I don't see a problem moving away if it stops the hassle. You have to live there 24x7 so it has to be right!

I don't want to be pushed out either, we have one bad neighbour who causes disturbance and occasional yobs tipping bins over and banging on doors and windows, that sort of brainless fun.

The police are tied by paperwork and the courts are being told to keep people out of prisons, so little deterrent for anyone to behave. Patrols now by the toothless PCSOs who I'm sure do a great job but really should be PC's with proper powers.

I'm not sure the police are your best contacts, check out who your local councillor is and raise it with them first. They could exert pressure on the housing association to have something done.

i have already contacted my local MP and all they did is pass it on to the police and its just going in circles.
ive told them if nothing done then i will sort it myself and if i get arrested in the mean time then at least i will be away from him and his familey.
i no this is not the right way to deal with this but i cant see any other way apart from ending my own life..

Did you try the local councillor rather than MP (as in the councillor is on the local council). I would think they should be able to help better. Have your other neighbours complained also, that would add weight to getting the trouble family evicted.

the first email i sent them i said i ws going to end my life because of all this and they sent a police officer to my flat and asked my to be assest at watford hospital to see the state of my mind...
i went there with the police officer and after bing pushed from pillar to post and got traeted like a loony i gave up and left. i had no money to get home and had to blag a free tiket on the train to get home, even though i walked out b4 seeing anyone to talk to, i got no phone call or visit from the police to see if i was ok or even ask why i left there.

Trying to get support is hard, everyone says they'll support you but when it comes to it no-one wants to go to paper in case they get found out (who can blame them?). But even if they contact the councillor or housing association anonymously that would show them it's not just you.

As for doing their bit, I guess if you don't keep on at them they might think it's sorted or they just move on to other things that are being reported?

im getting tierd of keeping on at them its bad enough dealing with this let alone trying to get someome to listen to you and believe you..

i can really understand why people end there lifes because of being abused and bullied by there nieghbours.
my nieghbour knows the way around the system and he uses all his know how to get away with it, i do hope he stumbles one day and he lives his life the way his made me feel.

I guess we can only hope people like this get their come-uppance eventually otherwise life isn't very fair at all

But keep at it - if it's affecting you and you really want it then the energy should be there to carry it through. It's tough but eventually someone will take ownership and sort it. If you're persistent enough you'll succeed

I lived in potters bar.I now live in york.when i lived there(cranborne close)there was nothing like this,we sorted our own problems out and everyone knew where they stood.but by what you say its the same where ever you live.here in york is just the same,the police dont give a dam unless you are speeding!I just hope that you can get it sorted.
